                  Video 1: War That made America – Battle of Quebec

During the Seven Years’ war British Troops were effectively able to take all of Canada. Out of fear that the French would take Ohio Valley the British decided to invade New France and take it for themselves. During the Battle of the Plains of Abraham (also known as the Battle of Quebec) in 1759 the British were able to take control of Quebec City, and the city would be lost by the French for ever.

This was a major setback for the French in the seven years war as they have lost the capitol of New France. the British would go on to take Montreal after this battle and 1763 The French signed the Treaty of Paris thus relinquishing North American Land east of the Mississippi to the British. The British now had a difficult task of handling the very different Citizens of New France, and their colonist.
